Probiotics are commonly included in diets to increase technical performance parameters in fast-growing animals. However, they are also valuable to use in other poultry species such as laying hens. A study conducted in Scotland found that layers fed a diet with the probiotic B-Act® had significantly better egg production compared to a control group, without an increase in average daily feed intake.
