Respiratory Health Seminar for Pig Vet Practitioners in Belgium

The most recent Respiratory Health Seminar for pig vet practitioners took place in the medieval city center of Ghent, Belgium from 7th - 9th February 2018. 

Veterinarians from all over Europe, specializing in pig health care, were invited to this much appreciated practical seminar. The focus was put on the crucial role of the field practitioner on the clinical outcome of a treatment and the close correlation between product formulation and clinical efficacy. 

The impact of economically very important respiratory pathogens as well as the way to control or treat were main points of interest. Much attention was paid to diagnosis, practical ventilation of pig pens and histopathology. Lung lesion scorings and macroscopic interpretation of lesions of different organs were part of the visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Ghent.
